How our puppy selection works
When puppies are six weeks old, we send out a group email to everyone subscribed to our mailing list. This email includes photos and details of the puppies available.
Because demand far exceeds supply, enquiries are handled on a first-come, first-served basis. While this system isn’t perfect, it has proven the fairest and most effective way to manage enquiries.
In our experience, puppies are often chosen from photos very quickly. Families then visit to meet their chosen puppy in person. If for any reason you were not happy with the puppy at your visit, your deposit would be refunded—though we’ve never had this situation occur.
Please note: we do not accept deposits before the newsletter is issued, as demand always exceeds supply.
How we raise our puppies
All puppies are raised in our home environment, surrounded by our family, children, and other dogs. From birth, they are exposed to everyday household activity, ensuring they grow into confident, well-socialised companions.
Health testing
The health of our puppies is our top priority. All of our breeding dogs are:
-
DNA tested to ensure puppies cannot inherit genetic diseases.
-
Hip tested with strong results to promote healthy development.
We DNA test against the following conditions:
-
Mucopolysaccharidosis VI (Poodle Type)
-
Degenerative Myelopathy
-
Congenital Macrothrombocytopenia
-
Progressive Rod Cone Degeneration (Prcd-PRA)
-
Gangliosidosis GM2 (Poodle Type)
-
Elliptocytosis B-Spectrin (Labrador Retriever/Poodle Type)
-
Willebrand’s Disease Type I
-
Neonatal Encephalopathy (Poodle Type)
-
Autosomal Hereditary Recessive Nephropathy
-
Phosphofructokinase Deficiency (Spaniel Type)
-
Black Hair Follicular Dysplasia
-
Exercise Induced Collapse (Retriever Type)
-
Familial Nephropathy
This commitment ensures our puppies are free from serious hereditary health concerns.
